About the Event

Visual Monologues is a collection of printed and painted spontaneous unpolished drawings that communicate feelings, situations or emotions visually rather than with words. These images substitute long worldly ruminations or written texts, and translate the world and life in one instant visual. The images appeared to me while I walk, or while on the bus or in the shower. Immediacy is a big part of them. And truthfulness. Expressing them on the paper is more important than the final execution. Feeling grounded, going through a heartbrake, being loved, being frustrated with what happens in the world, being in awe at the world…all this aspects are experienced and felt visually, giving birth to visual monologues, my own reflections, my visual ruminations.

This exhibition is supported by the Spanish Embassy in Iceland.
